A Love Affair with All Things Limoges
There are some gatherings that feel less like an event and more like stepping into a beautiful memory. “A Love Affair with All Things Limoges,” hosted by Charlotte Burdette, was exactly that kind of afternoon — elegant, welcoming, and filled with thoughtful details at every turn.

Guests were welcomed into a room sparkling with crystal, polished silver, and breathtaking tablescapes inspired by the timeless beauty of Limoges china. Limoges china is treasured for its delicate beauty, fine craftsmanship, and rich French heritage. Produced in the Limoges region of France since the late 1700s, these elegant porcelain pieces are known for their translucent quality, intricate hand-painted details, and touches of gold. Limoges Place Settings
Every table was uniquely gorgeous, featuring fragrant pink and white roses, delicate pink Limoges place settings, and charming miniature Eiffel Towers that added the perfect Parisian touch. Lovely salt cellars and etched crystal stemware adorned each place setting, while elegant crystal decanters nearby shimmered in the light, filled with refreshing water for guests.
A Delicious French Menu
The menu was as delightful as the décor. Lunch included lobster bisque, a savory quiche, marinated green bean salad, cherry tomatoes topped with feta, and warm rolls. Dessert was equally enchanting with slices of Chantilly cake served alongside delicate madeleines and colorful macarons. Guests enjoyed Muscadet wine, rosé, sweet and unsweet tea throughout the meal, followed by Prosecco served with dessert for an extra celebratory touch.
Stylish Ways to Wear a French Scarf
One of the highlights of the afternoon was a special presentation by Amy Burdette, who demonstrated creative and stylish ways to wear scarves. Guests were then treated to beautiful party favors that perfectly complemented the theme: a classic black-and-white scarf, a Limoges bud vase, and a petite scarf ring — thoughtful keepsakes from a truly memorable gathering.
Door Prizes and Warm Fellowship
Excitement filled the room during the door prize drawing, which was won by Bonnie Callahan. The prize was a lovely Limoges chamber candlestick, a treasure perfectly suited for such a refined occasion.
From the sparkling crystal to the delicate china and warm fellowship shared around the tables, every detail reflected beauty, hospitality, and a genuine love for gathering people together. “A Love Affair with All Things Limoges” was more than a luncheon — it was an experience filled with grace, friendship, and timeless charm.
In addition to the door prize and party favors provided by our hostess, our members also bring lovely hostess gifts. At this gathering, Charlotte received tea towels, cocktail napkins, hand soap, a trinket dish, cloth napkins, a small milkglass serving dish, candles and a box of handkerchiefs.
